Promotional data offers comes with a price, the customer must buy a certain product from Airtel Uganda to receive the data bonus for free. As much as this method might not seem extremely free, it is still an offer worth giving a try but only for those who will be able to do it.

Buy an Airtel 4G WIFI router at UGX 75,000 and get 51GB free data valid for a month.

Buy My First 4G Smartphone at UGX 163,500 and get 15GB free data valid for a month.

Buy Airtel 4G MI-FI at UGX 123,000 and get 15GB free data valid for a month.

Method 3: Airtel Data Me2u

In case you don’t have data on your airtel line, you can ask your friends and family to send you some FREE data.

With the data ME2U, your friend can help you out by sending you some of their MBs directly to your airtel number. Here are the steps to help your friend with free data on Airtel Uganda.

Dial *175#

Select Data Share (Option 5)

Choose Data Me2U (Option 2)

Input their airtel phone number

Enter the amount of data you want to send

Proceed to accept the transaction and you're Done.

Terms and conditions of sharing data on Airtel Uganda

• The charge for each Data Me2U is 250 UGX.
• Volume to share should be between 50 MBs AND 2 GBs (This means you cant send lower than 50 MBs)
• The share amount shares same expiry date as the original account shared from.
• Data Me2U applies to monthly bundles i.e. 125 MBs to monthly 3 GBs only
• You can only share to the same number if it has already used up the first share.

Method 4: Airtel Tugabane

Airtel Tugabane is a data-sharing service that enables airtel users to share the same data bundle.

In case you need some free data from your friends or family, you can reach out to your buddies ask them to add you to their Tugabane list. This way, you can enjoy free whenever they load data on their airtel sim card until they decide to remove you.

Here is how to enjoy free data from your friend with Tugabane

• Simply dial, *175#  on your phone
• Select Data sharing (Option 5)
• Choose Sub-option 1- TUGABANE
• Select Activate
• Enter the phone number(s) of the people you want to share your bundle with and you're Done.

Method 5: Free Data from MyAirtel App

MyAirtel app is another way you can get unlimited free Data, there are two ways you can get free data with this app.

The first one:

Download MyAirtel app from google play store and then register with our Airtel phone number and if it's your first time to use you will be given free 500 MBs Data bundles valid for 3 days.

 

The second one:

You can also get Free Data bundles by referring MyAirtel app to your friends, all you have to do is to navigate to the settings then click on [Refer&Earn] then send them your link and tell them to download the app and register. The person you refer will get 500 MBs and you will get 200 MBs.

Now let's see how we can get Free Data on MTN. Am going to give you 4 Methods and make sure you follow them carefully.

Method 1: Download and share MyMTN app

One of the best ways to get free MTN Data bundles is to use the free My MTN App. Commonly, if it is your first time to use this App, you will get free 500MBs for Signing up, and for each recommendation (share) you make, you receive free 200MBs as your recipient also gets 500MBs.

How to Get Free Data on the MYMTN App

Download the MyMTN App from the Google Play Store or Apple Store

Signup/Login with your MTN Number

Once registered, you will be given free 500MBs

For more data, Click Recommend this App

Share the App Link to your contacts (Friends&Family)

For each recipient that Installs the App and Register, you will get free 200MBs worth of MTN Data

Method 2: Free Data with MTN Pulse App

MTN Pulse app is a rewarding tariff plan that was unveiled as the telco’s major offering for all MTN subscribers. Now with the MTN Pulse App, each and every user is guaranteed to in-app freebies available once you hit the Install button from your Smartphone.

In fact, when we entered an MTN Pulse registered number to the App, a surprise egg graced our installation with 500MB of free data valid for 7 days. On top of this, the main dashboard has a Spin the Wheel menu from which you can always get free data bundles each time you spin once a week.

Method 3: Free Data Bundles with MTN Momo App

Apparently, Mobile Money usage is in an all-time high in Uganda since the 2009/2010 inaugural era. Mobile Money has not only been for both money transfer, but also operates as a mobile bank with services like MTN Mokash.

AS the biggest provider, MTN periodically rewards it's customers with free data bundles for using its Mobile Money service.

Its easy to get free 500 MBs data bundles, all you have to do is to go to the Google Play Store or Apple Store and download the app then register like you did in MyMTN app then you will receive your free Data. Remember you must have MTN mobile money account opened in your Sim card.

Method 4: How to get Free Data with MTN Senkyu Points

MTN Senkyu is a common loyalty program that works on the points system. Points are accumulated by often making calls, and making sure your account is active on a daily.

For Each day that your SIM-Card stays active on MTN’s network buzzers, you get 1 Point free. For Every call you make whether to an MTN number or another network like Airtel, you get 1 Point for every UGX 100 spent.

Once you accumulate enough points, you can then use them for data or voice minutes as you may wish. To redeem your points for data, simply dial *141# and choose option 1 (Use Points) where you get to choose Data from the drop list to exchange your points for free MBs.

Select Option 1 (Use)

Select Data

Then, choose whether to convert all your points or simply use a portion

If you selected Option 2 (Use a portion), then the points will be converted to MBs

Done: Your Free Data will be credited to your Account within a second.
